2012 - 2016
My academic journey began at Brunel University, where I pursued a BSc in Economics with a year in industry. Here, I delved into the impact of oil shocks on the economy using Time Series Econometrics. Beyond the classroom, I volunteered for a program aimed at educating disadvantaged students about the university experience, showcasing my commitment to community outreach early on. I even started a community interest company which helped to generate employment in my local area.
2016 - 2017
I furthered my studies at University College London (UCL), earning an MSc in Economics. My research during this period focused on the impact of monetary policy shocks on income and consumption inequality, a topic I explored using Time Series Econometrics in STATA.
2017 - 2021
Joining the Bank of England as an Economist and eventually turning into a Data Science Lead, I spearheaded seven significant data science and analytical projects that influenced banking regulation policies and informed executive speeches. My leadership in AI was evident, with two of my projects leading to scholarly publications. I also took on the role of mentor, guiding undergraduate and PhD data science interns annually.
While working, I pursued an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Bath. My thesis during this period was particularly notable, where I constructed a language-based financial risk identification model for banks, reducing user time by a staggering 95% in identifying text related to various risk categories.
2021 - Present
Currently, I'm making waves at Publicis Sapient AI Labs as an AI and Data Science Consultant. My role has seen me head a data science team, lead AI development with engineering and product teams, and even act as a Product Manager for several projects. My efforts have directly resulted in significant sales boosts, contract extensions, and operational cost reductions for various clients.
